- Just Cuts launching #Hearts4SANE campaign in salons from December 11th-15th
- Clients can purchase $1-$2 SANE Australia Blue Hearts which they can sign in salons
- SANE Australia is a national charity for people affected by complex mental health issues
Australia’s largest hairdressing franchise Just Cuts is continuing its commitment to supporting the mental wellbeing of Australians with the #Hearts4SANE campaign, launching from December 11th.
The franchise network will be collecting $1-$2 donations in salons across Australia for 5 days to support national mental health charity SANE Australia.
SANE Australia supports people affected by complex mental health issues, and their carers through services including a national freecall help centre with online chat capability and 24/7 moderated online Forums and live chat.
Around 5 million Australians are affected by complex mental health issues such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), which can have an impact on their families, friends and carers.
The Just Cuts #Hearts4Sane campaign aims to raise over $20,000 to assist SANE’s support services through either gold coin or EFTPOS donations.
Clients can purchase a Blue Heart in salons, which they can also sign and write a message on to show their support. The hearts will be placed on salon walls for the 5 day #Hearts4SANE fundraising drive.
Just Cuts CEO, Amber Manning, said Stylists will also wear blue to raise awareness for SANE Australia.
“The COVID-19 pandemic is driving a spike in demand for mental health services, so Just Cuts salons and Stylists are once again stepping up to support our community and each other,” adds Amber.
“While our Stylists across Australia are excited to start spreading some Christmas cheer, it’s important to remember this time of year can be incredibly hard for some,” says Amber.
“With people impacted by complex mental health issues dying up to 30 years earlier, access to quality support services that promote mental wellbeing and social connection is critical during Christmas time.”
“No one should suffer in silence when there are specialised services like the SANE Forums and Help Centre with experienced counsellors who are willing to listen and provide support and guidance.”
SANE Peer Ambassador, Dr Dov Degen congratulated Just Cuts on their #Hearts4SANE campaign.
