Stockland Townsville has teamed up with Just Cuts to donate a number of complimentary hair care packages to seniors at a local Aitkenvale retirement village.

Peggy Millios, owner of Just Cuts at Stockland Townsville, said that they were inspired to help some of those most vulnerable in the community, who may not be able or feel comfortable to leave their home.

“Some of our favourite regulars aren’t able to come to us at the moment and so we wanted to take the Just Cuts experience to them. We also hoped that this would make them feel special and cared for at this time”, said Millios.

The hair care packages included a variety of generous sample sizes of Just Cuts salon quality products, including shampoo and conditioner, styling products, hair accessories and more, to help retirees with the upkeep of their hair during these times of self-isolation.

Millios continued, “At Just Cuts we know how a simple haircut and chat can really lift a person’s spirit, so we organised this special surprise to show some of our clients that we’re thinking about them. We can’t wait to see them for a chat when they’re able to start coming in again.”

Andrew Stallan, Centre Manager at Stockland Townsville, said the decision to team up with Just Cuts was an easy one.

“We’re always looking for ways to support our local community and retailers and thought what better way to do both. The effort and enthusiasm shown by Peggy and the team at Just Cuts is really inspiring. They were determined to show some of their loyal customers that they care, and genuinely wanted to brighten their day”, Stallan said.

“It’s retailers like them – who are so passionate about their business and the people they serve – that help build a strong community, and we’re so pleased that we were able to help organise this for some seniors in our local Aitkenvale area”, he said.

Just Cuts is an Australian hairdressing franchise that bridges the gap between a barber and a high end hair salon. With salons in every state of Australia, it is the largest hairdressing company in the Southern Hemisphere.
