JUST CUTS™ RAISES $17,562 FOR THE ROYAL FLYING DOCTOR SERVICE OF AUSTRALIA AT ANNUAL CUT-A-RAMA EVENT

The Just Cuts Cutting Crew, Outback Car Trekkers and the local Tamworth community rally to raise money for a life saving cause.

On Saturday night, the Just Cuts Cutting Crew was joined by members of the Tamworth community, Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia representatives and participants of the Outback Car Trek at the annual Cut-a-Rama event. Crowds packed the local Tamworth Hotel for the event, which raised $17,562 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia.

Cut-a-Rama is the kick-off event to the Outback Car Trek, held the night before the official trek commences. Seven Just Cuts Stylists from all over Australia and New Zealand helped the Outback Car Trek drivers create wild hair styles and colours to sport during their week-long trek.

Thousands of dollars were donated by trekkers to see their friends’ heads shaved, clipped, cut and coloured for the cause.

“This was the 20th Cut-a-Rama event that we’ve put on. We’re so proud to be able to support a charity that impacts the lives of so many people across Australia”, says Denis McFadden, CEO and founder of Just Cuts™ and dedicated Outback Car Trek trekker.

Bill Patrick, Chief Organiser of The Outback Car Trek always looks forward to the event. “Trekkers from all over have met in Tamworth to take part in the traditional Cut-a-Rama night - the opening event to kick off the 29th edition of the annual Outback Car Trek.” he said.

Cut-A-Rama is just one small part of Just Cuts ongoing commitment to the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia. Every Just Cuts salon in Australia receives a donation box for the charity, which is displayed on reception counters all year round, with Clients, Team Members and Owners alike donating their loose change to the cause.

And since first partnering with the Royal Flying Doctor Service in 1998, Just Cuts has raised over $450,000 for the charity through the annual Cut-a-Rama event, our salon donation boxes and a number of other fundraising initiatives.
